The twenty-eighth edition of this book is being published at a time when the reputation of Dolibarr™ is already well established. Twenty-four years after the first lines of code were written by Rodolphe Quiédeville, under the leadership of Laurent Destailleur and with the help of many contributors, the Dolibarr™ ERP/CRM has become an essential name in the world of Open Source software.

Upload a GPS trip recording directly on a customer order and bill the driven kilometers as an order line with one click.

MileageBilling adds a new "Mileage (GPS)" tab to every customer order in Dolibarr.
How it works:
1. Record your trip with the free open-source Android app GPSLogger and export it as CSV (one file = one trip).
2. Open the customer order and upload the CSV on the "Mileage (GPS)" tab.
3. The module calculates the driven distance and shows date, start and end time.
4. Click "Apply to order": an order line is created with quantity = kilometers driven and unit price = your configured rate per kilometer.
Features:
- Automatic distance calculation from the GPS track
- One-click creation of the billing line (rate per km, VAT automatic or fixed, configurable description template with placeholders for date, time and distance)
- The original CSV is stored in the order's documents as proof
- Duplicate protection: the same file cannot be imported twice for the same order
- Self-healing consistency: if the generated order line is deleted, the trip is released again and can be re-applied or removed
- Translations included: English, German, French
Configuration: rate per kilometer, optional fixed VAT rate and the description template can be set on the module setup page. Three separate permissions (view / upload & bill / delete) allow fine-grained user control.
