Empreinte - PDF template workshop

Changing a Dolibarr PDF template usually means writing PHP. Empreinte replaces that with a drawing board: you move blocks on a page, you see the result as it will be printed, you save, and the template appears in the document model list.

What you get

• Five document types covered: quotations, sales orders, invoices, shipments and interventions. As many templates as you want per type, duplicable.
• Every block is movable, resizable and configurable: logo, images, title and number, dates and references, company details, customer address, line table, totals, payment terms, notes, footer, and free fields bound to a document value.
• The preview uses a real document from your database, not lorem ipsum.
• Per-block typography: size, line height, letter spacing, case, bold, italic, alignment and colour.
• Backgrounds, borders, rounded corners and transparency. Table rules, cell padding and minimum row height.
• Your own TrueType or OpenType fonts, uploaded from the module and embedded as subsets in the generated PDF.
• Six starting layouts so you never face a blank page.
• Keyboard nudging, snapping guides and millimetre coordinates for precise work.

Requirements

Dolibarr 21.0 to 25.0, PHP 7.4 or above, write access to the documents directory. Tested on 21.0.4, 22.0.5, 23.0.3, 24.0.0 and 25.0.0. The module never writes into the Dolibarr program directory: uploaded images and fonts live under the documents folder. Works installed in htdocs/custom/ or directly in htdocs/.

Permissions

Two permissions are created on activation: read templates, and create or edit them. Font management is reserved to administrators.
