ShipCalc, the intelligent shipping cost calculation module for Dolibarr

ShipCalc is a module dedicated to calculating shipping costs in Dolibarr. It allows you to create customized delivery zones and assign a pricing grid to each one in order to automate shipping cost calculation when creating quotations.

This is the context in which ShipCalc was created.

Originally developed exclusively for our internal use, the module has evolved alongside our daily requirements. Each feature has been designed to address real-world situations encountered in the field.

We decided to make it available to the Dolibarr community so that other companies can also benefit from it.

Create unlimited delivery zones

ShipCalc allows you to define delivery zones using different methods to meet all types of requirements.

• Countries
• States / provinces / regions
• Cities
• Postal codes with wildcard support (example: 69*)
• Geographical zones drawn directly on a map using polygons

Map-drawn zones allow you to precisely represent a delivery area, industrial zone, urban area, delivery route or any other specific area related to your business.

Assign a pricing grid to each zone

Each zone can be linked to an independent pricing grid. You can automatically apply the correct shipping rate according to the customer's delivery area.

This organization makes shipping cost management easier while reducing data entry errors.
