🎯 Module Overview

MBI Avis Client turns every invoice you send into an opportunity to collect an online review, without changing anything in your habits.

When you are about to email an invoice, the module offers to ask that customer for a review. The request is then sent on its own, either right after the invoice or a few days later, using an email wording you define yourself.

🧭 Benefits

  • Collect more Google, Trustpilot or Facebook reviews by asking at the very moment you already contact your customer.
  • One click, nothing to prepare: no separate campaign to build, no reminder to keep in mind.
  • A customer who declines is never asked again — the choice is recorded for good.
  • Every request sent is logged on the customer record, so your team always knows who was solicited and when.
  • The wording stays yours: the message is a standard Dolibarr email template you can edit at any time.

⚙️ Features

  • Displays a notification on the invoice card as soon as you open the Send by email screen, offering to also ask this customer for a review.
  • Two possible answers: queue a review request, or stop showing the prompt for this customer.
  • Immediate sending: the review request goes out right after the invoice email has actually been sent.
  • Deferred sending: the request goes out after a number of days you choose, handled by a daily scheduled job installed with the module.
  • The message is a standard Dolibarr email template named mbiavisclient, editable from the email template setup, where every Dolibarr substitution variable can be used.
  • Optional copy of each review request to your own company email address.
  • Each request actually sent is recorded as an event in the customer's agenda, linked to the invoice concerned.
  • Once a request has been sent, the prompt becomes available again for that customer on a later invoice, while a refusal stays permanent.
  • Only users allowed to send the invoice by email can ask for a review.
  • A request is marked as processed only once the email has actually been handed over to the mail server, so a sending failure never discards it silently.
  • Multi-company aware: requests are kept separate for each entity.

🧩 Requirements and Dependencies

  • Required: the Dolibarr Invoices module, enabled.
  • Required: a sender email address configured in Dolibarr (Home > Setup > Company/Organization). It is used as the sender of the requests and as the recipient of the optional copy.
  • Recommended for deferred sending: an operational Dolibarr scheduled jobs system, so the request goes out on the expected day. The module installs its own daily job. Without an active scheduler, deferred requests that have reached their due date are sent the next time an invoice is emailed.
  • Optional: nothing further. The module ships every asset it needs and calls no external service.
  • Incompatibility: none known.

✅ Compatibility

  • Dolibarr minimum required: 19.0
  • Dolibarr maximum declared and tested: 23.0.3
  • Module designed to blend into the standard Dolibarr interface, with no modification of the core.
  • PHP minimum required: 8.0
  • Available languages: English, French, Spanish, Italian, German

🔧 Installation

  1. Download the module ZIP archive without unpacking it.
  2. In Dolibarr, go to Home > Setup > Modules/Applications.
  3. Open the Deploy/Install external module tab.
  4. Upload the module ZIP archive.
  5. Search for and enable MBI Avis Client.
  6. Configure the module options from its setup page if needed.
  7. Make sure the users concerned are allowed to send invoices by email.

Manual installation: copy the mbiavisclient folder into /htdocs/custom/, then enable the module from the module list.

🚀 Getting Started

  1. Open Home > Setup > Modules/Applications > MBI Avis Client.
  2. Choose whether you want to receive a copy of each request.
  3. Set the deferred sending delay in days, or leave it at 0 to send the request together with the invoice.
  4. An mbiavisclient email template was created when the module was enabled. Open it in Home > Setup > E-mails > E-mail templates and adapt it to your business: review links, phone number, signature. Every Dolibarr substitution variable can be used in it.
  5. If you use deferred sending, check in Home > Setup > Scheduled jobs that the MBI Avis Client job is active.
  6. Open a validated invoice and click Send by email: the prompt appears at the top right. Answering "Yes" sends the review request right after the email carrying the invoice.

🔄 Updates and Uninstallation

  • Back up your files and database before any update.
  • Read the ChangeLog, then deploy the new archive over the existing version.
  • After an update, disable then re-enable the module from the module list: Dolibarr replays the SQL scripts and the scheduled job declaration at activation only.
  • Disabling the module keeps its table, its settings, your email template and the scheduling of its job. Nothing has to be configured again.
  • Data created by the module is kept: neither disabling the module nor deleting its files removes its table, its settings or its email template. Removing them is a deliberate manual operation.

Article 9 — Personal data. The Module operates within the User's Dolibarr instance: the functional data it processes remains stored on the User's systems, and the User remains the data controller within the meaning of the GDPR. In order to allow a version availability check or access to the activation service, the Module may declare to the Dolibarr core service addresses operated by MB Informatique SARL. When the User triggers one of these functions, Dolibarr may contact the service concerned and transmit the technical identifier of the Module to it. The Module contains no licence key and does not itself transmit either the contents of the Dolibarr database or the domain of the instance. As with any connection to an Internet service, the public IP address used to establish the connection may appear in the technical logs of the receiving server, for security and operational purposes. The User may exercise their rights regarding personal data by writing to info@mb-informatique.fr.

Article 12 — Governing law and disputes. These Terms of Use are governed by French law. In the event of difficulty, the User is invited first to send a written complaint to MB Informatique SARL in order to seek an amicable solution. Failing an amicable resolution, any dispute with a professional User falls within the exclusive jurisdiction of the Commercial Court of Mulhouse, including in the case of summary proceedings, warranty claims, incidental claims or multiple defendants. Consumer Users retain the benefit of the mandatory rules of jurisdiction and may use the consumer mediation scheme free of charge under the conditions provided for by articles L.612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code. Up-to-date information on the consumer mediation applicable to the services of MB Informatique SARL is set out in its General Terms and Conditions of Sale, available at https://www.mb-informatique.fr/cgv.html.
