Intervention Billing — invoice your interventions

Dolibarr lets you record interventions — but not price or invoice them. There is no native way to put an amount on an intervention, and turning field work into a customer invoice means retyping everything by hand. This module closes that gap.

What it does

It adds a "Billing" tab to every intervention, where you build billable lines and generate a real draft customer invoice in one click — line by line — while the intervention automatically switches to "Billed" once everything is invoiced.

Key features

• Billable lines — add product/service lines or free-text lines, each with a unit price (excl. tax), a quantity and a VAT rate.
• Time entry — enter a duration in hours and minutes; it is converted into a billable quantity automatically (ideal for time & materials).
• Product + free text — pick a product/service (price and VAT auto-filled) and add a free description underneath.
• One-click invoice — generate a draft customer invoice, linked to the intervention, ready to validate and send.
• Line-by-line / partial billing — tick only the lines to invoice now and bill the rest later; each line remembers its own invoice.
• Automatic status — the intervention becomes "Billed" once all its lines are invoiced, and a filterable Billed (yes/no) column is added to the intervention list.
• Consistent by design — if you delete the generated invoice, the lines are automatically un-billed and the intervention reverts, so your data never gets out of sync.
• Works on drafts — you can invoice without having to validate the intervention first.
• PDF summary — generate a clean one-page billing summary (intervention number, customer details, your company info and logo, legal footer).
• Default rate — set a default hourly rate and VAT once in the module setup; new lines are pre-filled.
• Bulk import — already have hundreds of interventions? A bulk tool (admin page + CLI script) turns their existing lines into billable lines in a single pass.

How it works

1. Open an intervention and go to the Billing tab (opened automatically).
2. Add your lines: product/service or free text, quantity or duration, unit price, VAT.
3. Tick the lines to invoice and click Create invoice.
4. A draft customer invoice is created and linked; the intervention is flagged Billed when all lines are done.

Compatibility

Dolibarr 20 to 23 (tested on 22 and 23). PHP 7.4 to 8.3. Requires the standard Interventions and Invoices modules; the Products/Services module is optional (used for catalog lines).
