Filtering without a click: as soon as you type into a search field or change a dropdown, the list updates. You never need the magnifying glass again.

Dolibarr runs a list search only after you click the magnifying glass. Fastsearch turns that into an instant search: the result list follows your input right away, including the total row, the number of records and the pagination. A step you repeat dozens of times a day simply disappears.

What changes in daily work

• Typing in a search field filters immediately — no click, no page jump, no lost scroll position
• Dropdowns such as status, third party or project take effect the moment you pick a value
• Date fields start the search when you pick a day in the calendar or leave the field after typing — not in the middle of a half-typed number
• Total row, record count and pagination are updated as well, so the page stays consistent
• Tooltips and the multi-select for mass actions keep working after every refresh

Where it works

• On every standard list: third parties, contacts, products, quotations, orders, invoices, supplier documents, projects, tickets, payments and the rest
• In the agenda and event lists
• On the project pages for tasks and time tracking, in the contact list of a third party and in the project information
• In the lists of other modules: Fastsearch picks them up by itself as long as they follow the Dolibarr list pattern — nothing has to be changed in the other module
• In the module overview under Home – Setup – Modules, in both the list and the kanban view

The module overview filters instantly too

Anyone running many modules searches that overview regularly — until now with a click on “Refresh” and a full page rebuild per attempt. Now it filters while you type, module families without a match disappear together with their heading, and the dropdowns for origin, version and status take effect on selection. Because that page reads the information of every installed module on each request, the keyword field waits a short moment after the last keystroke instead of starting a run on every character.

Set up in a minute

• Enable the module. That is all — there is nothing to configure.
• Individual pages can be excluded, should another module bring an unusually built list: fill the constant FASTSEARCHLISTS_BLACKLIST_URL under Home – Setup – Other with the page paths, several of them separated by commas.

Technical facts

• Not a single core patch: the module works purely through the standard hook system and survives every Dolibarr update unchanged
• No database tables of its own, no additional permissions, no background service
• No outbound connection: everything runs between the browser and your own Dolibarr instance, no data is passed to third parties
• Interface in German, English and French
