Paper Invoice Mailing

Your invoices in the mailbox, without printer or envelope

Paper Invoice Mailing adds a “Send by postal mail” button to validated customer invoices. MySendingBox prints the invoice PDF, puts it in an envelope and posts it. Before anything is posted, you see the exact PDF that will be printed and the exact price, and you confirm.

Features

• Send from the invoice card: one button on validated customer invoices. The address of the customer is filled in and can be corrected.
• Preview and price before sending: the letter is first prepared in the MySendingBox sandbox. You check the printed PDF, the page count and the price (postage + service). Nothing is posted at this step.
• Postage options: Ecopli, priority letter, registered letter, registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt; black and white or color; both sides printing.
• Letter card: status, tracking, price detail, the PDF that was sent, and a cancel button during the MySendingBox cancellation window (about 15 minutes).
• Status tracking: a scheduled job asks MySendingBox the status of the letters not delivered yet, every 4 hours. Letters with a problem (wrong address, returned to sender…) are listed on the dashboard.
• Dashboard: letters and costs of the month and the year, monthly graphs over 12 months, last letters.
• List of letters: filters by invoice, third party, dates, postage, test or real, status; sorting; choice of columns; total of billed letters.
• Tabs and widget: a “Postal mail” tab on invoices and third parties, a “Last letters” widget for the home page, export of letters.
• Customers who refuse paper: create the third party extra field facturecourrier (checkbox). When it is checked, the send buttons are hidden for this customer.

Safe sending

• No double sending: a confirmation is asked when the invoice was already sent, the confirm button works only once, and each preview carries a unique idempotency key. A replayed request cannot post a second letter.
• Network errors handled: when MySendingBox does not answer clearly, the page offers to retry the same sending. The retry cannot create a second letter.
• Test mode: all sendings use your sandbox key and nothing is printed, until you switch to production.
• Permissions: “Read letters sent by postal mail” and “Send and cancel letters”. Sales representatives see only the letters of their customers.

Requirements

• Dolibarr 16.0 or later (tested from 16.0.5 to 24.0.1, MariaDB/MySQL and PostgreSQL). PHP 7.4 or later with cURL.
• Module “Invoices” enabled.
• A MySendingBox account with a test key and a production key. Postage and printing are billed by MySendingBox. They are not included in the module price.

Installation

1. Home › Setup › Modules › Deploy/install an external module: upload module_lettre-2.1.0.zip.
2. Enable the module “Paper Invoice Mailing”.
3. In the module setup, enter your MySendingBox test key and production key, keep test mode on, choose the default postage, then click “Test connection”.
4. Grant the permissions “Read letters sent by postal mail” and “Send and cancel letters” to the users who need them.

Upgrade from version 1.x or 2.0

Install the new package, then disable and enable the module (in each entity if you use Multicompany). The existing letters, keys, permissions and widget are kept.

This module is a connector: the letters are printed and posted by MySendingBox, under its own terms and prices. The publisher is not affiliated with MySendingBox. A user guide in French, with screenshots, is included in the package.
