GlobalSearch – Global search and keyboard palette

GlobalSearch adds a global-search option directly to Dolibarr’s standard sidebar search field. It also provides a fast, permission-aware global results page and an optional central search palette opened with a configurable keyboard shortcut.

It extends the standard sidebar search with a global-results entry and provides an optional central search palette that can be opened with a configurable keyboard shortcut (for example Ctrl+K or Alt+K).

Features:
- Searches authorised third parties, contacts, products and services, customer and supplier invoices, customer orders, commercial proposals, contracts, projects and tasks.
- Shows the first results in each category, together with the total number of matches.
- Provides direct access to the complete filtered native Dolibarr list for each category.
- Displays concise, readable excerpts for product and service descriptions.
- Supports configurable result limits, minimum search length, and keyboard shortcut.
- Respects the current entity and existing Dolibarr user permissions.
- Does not create database tables or send data to external services.

Installation:
1. Deploy the module ZIP file from Home > Setup > Modules/Applications > Deploy an external module.
2. Activate GlobalSearch.
3. Open the module setup page to configure the optional search palette.

Compatibility:
Dolibarr 19.0.0 to 24.0.0.
PHP 7.0 or later.
