What the widget shows

  • The revenue for the current financial year, in large type, with the percentage change against the same period of the previous financial year — the same window shifted by one year, not the whole year.
  • The revenue for the previous financial year, over the comparable period and in total.
  • The supplier purchases for the period and their change, then the indicative result (revenue minus purchases).
  • A progress bar towards your annual target, if you enter one.

Colours follow the direction of the business rather than the sign: a rise in revenue is green, a rise in purchases is red.

The opening month is looked up in your company settings, then in the Accounting module. You can force it if both are wrong. If you close on 31 December, you have nothing to set.

What it does, and what it does not

Amounts are calculated from your invoices excluding tax: they are management indicators, not accounting entries. The module reads your data, creates no table and changes no document.

The widget is visible to users allowed to view invoices. A dedicated permission lets you show the figures to someone without opening the invoices themselves. In a multi-company setup, each entity sees only its own.

Compatibility & installation

Requirements: Dolibarr 18 to 23 - PHP 7.4 minimum - Invoice module enabled.
The widget is added to the dashboard from the home page, once.
