DoliFax - Send and receive fax from Dolibarr

Fax is still mandatory. Your ERP should handle it.

Across the US and Canada, fax remains a legally recognized channel for healthcare, legal and B2B logistics documents — but sending one still means leaving Dolibarr, or paying for a physical fax line and a separate eFax subscription. DoliFax brings fax sending and receiving directly into your quotes, orders and invoices, with the same multi-provider architecture proven on DoliSMS.

📠 One-click send

A "Send by Fax" button sits right next to "Send by email" on Propal, Order and Invoice cards. DoliFax picks up the main generated PDF and the recipient's fax number automatically — no re-typing, no leaving the document.

📋 Cover page & legal proof

Optionally prepend a standard cover page (sender, recipient, date, page count, note). Every transmission is logged with the provider's transmission ID — your proof of delivery — and an event on the document's agenda once distribution is confirmed.

🏥 HIPAA-conscious

Route sensitive faxes through Sinch — HIPAA/SOC2/GDPR compliant, free BAA signature from their dashboard. Enable DoliFax's HIPAA mode to purge transmitted content from the provider's servers right after delivery is confirmed.

📥 Inbound fax reception

Configure a virtual fax number (DID) and incoming faxes are automatically deposited in Dolibarr's document management, with a to-do action created for your team — nothing gets missed on a fax machine nobody checks anymore.

DoliFax follows the same open, provider-agnostic architecture as DoliSMS. You create your own account with the fax carrier of your choice, keep full control of your credits, and DoliFax simply orchestrates the sending.

How it works

  1. Install DoliFax and pick your fax provider (Sinch or QuestBlue) in the admin settings.
  2. Open any validated Propal, Order or Invoice and click Send by Fax.
  3. Confirm the pre-filled fax number, optionally add a cover page and a note.
  4. DoliFax sends the document's main PDF and logs the transmission as "Pending".
  5. Once the provider confirms delivery, the status updates and an agenda event is added to the document.
