UltimatePDF: the Swiss Army knife for your Dolibarr documents

UltimatePDF lets you customize the PDF templates generated by Dolibarr to match your company's visual identity and requirements.

Create your own templates without directly modifying Dolibarr's standard files: colors, logos, borders, columns, images, address blocks, signatures, footers, barcodes, QR codes and additional documents can all be configured from the module interface.

Each template can be saved with its own settings, allowing you to create multiple layouts tailored to your different activities, brands, establishments or issuing companies.

Installation

Installation from the Dolibarr interface

1. Go to Home > Setup > Modules/Applications.
2. Open the Deploy/Install an external module tab.
3. Select the module ZIP archive.
4. Click Send file.
5. Then enable the UltimatePDF module.

Manual installation

• Download the module archive in ZIP format from DoliStore.com .
• Place the file in the Dolibarr root directory.
• Extract the archive using the following command:

unzip module_ultimatepdf-24.0.x.zip

• Refer to the INSTALL_FR file supplied with the module.
• Check that the resulting directory structure is correct: htdocs/custom/ultimatepdf.
• Then go to Home > Setup > Modules/Applications and enable UltimatePDF.
• Click the module configuration icon to create your first template.

What's new in version 24.0.5

• Free positioning of address blocks on the invoice template: four fields in millimeters, X and Y for both sender and recipient, measured from the top-left corner of the page. The historical automatic mode remains available and unchanged.
• Swiss window envelope button that fills these four fields with one click, plus a new No border style for address blocks, in line with Swiss practice.
• Swiss QR invoice: the standardized payment section is printed on a dedicated page at the end of the invoice. The option requires PHP 8.1 or later and the bcmath extension, and remains disabled by default.
• Free entry of amounts excluding and including tax on expense reports: both unit prices can be entered together and VAT is calculated by difference, which Dolibarr does not natively allow. Essential for foreign invoices, restaurant receipts with multiple VAT rates or partially recoverable VAT.
• The expense report PDF then prints the effective VAT rate, marked with an asterisk and explained in a footnote, as well as the actual unit price excluding tax.
• Fixed the placement of the project reference and title, as well as other header additions, in full-width banner layouts.
• Module archive reduced by approximately 44 MB by removing unused reference data.

Usage

Once the module is enabled, create a template from the UltimatePDF configuration page, then select it as the active template in the configuration of the relevant document type.

Settings are saved independently for each template and each document category. This allows you to use a different layout for your quotes, orders, invoices, shipments or contracts.
