Organize and connect your products with the UltimateQrcode module for Dolibarr

The UltimateQrcode module automatically generates QR codes for all your Dolibarr records: products, third parties, contacts, orders, invoices, projects, batches, serial numbers and much more. These two-dimensional codes can hold several thousand characters and allow users, with a simple scan, to instantly access associated digital content, making your documents and labels interactive.

🆕 What's new in version 24.0.1

• Built-in user guide: a new User guide tab in the module setup, between "QR with logo" and "About". Twelve sections covering installation, permissions, setup pages, the QR code tab of a record, encoded fields, logo management, vCard, QR-Url and label printing, plus an eight entry FAQ and a cheat sheet. Written in the five languages of the module and displayed automatically in the language of the connected user.

• Label printing from the standalone generator: the QR code created in the "QR codes" tab can now be printed on the same 120 × 57 mm label as the "QR with logo" tab, straight from a print button placed below the generated code.

• Clearer setup pages: the first two tabs now open with an introduction explaining what they are for — a standalone generator whose QR code is tied to no Dolibarr record — and why the error correction quality is forced to H as soon as a logo is embedded.

• Fully translated generator: the Data, ECC, Size and Generate labels were hard coded in English. They now use the module translation keys, and the error correction levels read Low, Medium, Quartile, High.

• Better defaults: the default point size goes from 1 to 5, so a generated QR code can be printed on a label without blurring.

• Security hardening: the generator parameters are now read through the Dolibarr GETPOST functions, and the error correction level is validated against its four allowed values.

• Fixes: the setup and About page titles displayed a raw translation key instead of the module name; three English labels had been left in French.

• Per-page settings (size, ECC, logo): each QR code tab now has its own size (1 to 10), error correction level (ECC: L, M, Q, H) and logo selection settings, directly on the record page.

• QR code with embedded logo on all records: the logo can now be inserted at the center of the QR code on all covered records (third parties, contacts, products, invoices, etc.), not just third-party pages.

• Dynamic preview (Live Preview): the QR code updates in real time (300ms AJAX delay) when you change the size, ECC level, logo or selected fields, without page reload.

• vCard QR code: generate vCard-format QR codes for contacts, users, third parties and members. Scanning adds the contact directly to the phone's address book.

• Advanced logo management: full logo management interface for QR codes: upload, preview, rename and delete logos directly from the module tabs.

• Configurable ECC level: choose the error correction level — L (≈7%), M (≈15%), Q (≈25%), H (≈30%). Quality is automatically forced to H when a logo is embedded, to ensure readability.

• Automatic field selection: on first display, non-empty fields are automatically checked to ensure a relevant QR code from the very first use.

• Extrafields support (custom attributes): Dolibarr extrafields are automatically detected and available among the fields to encode in the QR code.

🏷️ Label printing

The module provides dedicated label printing pages for all covered records, in an optimized 120 × 57 mm format compatible with standard label printers.

Each label consists of 3 zones:

• Left: QR code containing the configurable data from the record

• Center: key text information (reference, label, name depending on the object)

• Right: URL QR code pointing to the Dolibarr record

• Print from a button built into the QR code tab, as a popup or new window

• Label with logo embedded at the center of the QR code

• New in 24.0.1: the same label is now available for the standalone QR codes generated from the setup pages

• Compatible with browser printing (Chrome, Firefox, Edge)

⚙️ Native PDF document integration

Using the Dolibarr hooks system, the module integrates directly into PDF document generation for the following objects:

• Proposals, customer orders, customer invoices

• Supplier proposals, supplier orders, supplier invoices

• Contracts, interventions, warehouses

• QR with logo: QR generator with embedded logo — upload a PNG logo, select it and generate a custom QR code with your image at the center.

• User guide: the complete guide of the module, in your language, directly inside Dolibarr — no need to leave the application to find out how a feature works.

❓ FAQ

• Where do I find the documentation? → In the User guide setup tab, in your own language, or on the Dolibarr wiki.

• The QR code contains no data → Check that fields with values are selected in the tab.

• The print size is incorrect → Verify the label format is 120 × 57 mm and disable margins in the browser print options.

• Extra fields are not visible → Define them in Setup → Custom attributes for the relevant object.

• The QR code with logo is unreadable → The logo may be too large. Use a smaller logo — ECC quality is automatically forced to H.

• The QR code does not update → Check that JavaScript is enabled in your browser.

• The QR code tab is not visible → Verify the module is enabled and the user has the "Read qrcode outcomes" permission.
