🎯 Module Overview

MBI TPE sends the amount of an invoice to a payment terminal connected to your network, using the "Concert" 3.1 protocol: once the transaction is completed, the invoice is updated and the payment is generated automatically in Dolibarr.

The module adds a payment button on the invoice card and in the TakePOS point of sale. You pick the terminal, confirm the amount, the customer presents their card: Dolibarr creates the payment, posts it to the right bank account, settles the invoice, then generates the card receipt and can email it to the customer. It is designed for shops, tradespeople and service companies that take card payments and want to avoid entering the same figures twice.

• Simulation mode allowing a complete payment flow to be run without a physical terminal.
• Clear failure messages, distinguishing an invalid amount, an unconfigured bank account, a terminal refusal, and the specific case of a card that was charged but whose recording must be checked.
• Retention of the technical details of every transaction (masked card number, authorisation, contract, application, currency, reading mode) for later review.

• The PHP sockets extension must be enabled on the server, and the terminal must be reachable from the Dolibarr server through its IP address and port

🔧 Installation

1. Drop the mbitpe folder into /htdocs/custom/, or use the Deploy/Install external module option from the Dolibarr module list
2. Go to Home > Setup > Modules/Applications, then enable MBI TPE
3. Check that the PHP sockets extension is enabled (see php.ini): it is required for the module to work
4. In your terminal settings, enable the cash register connection and assign it a fixed IP address
5. Enter the terminal name, IP address, port and number from the module configuration page. On a local network, the port used by the terminal is usually 8888
6. A Terminal Payment button then appears on the invoice card

Dolibarr hosted on a remote server: you need to open a port on the firewall and forward it to the terminal, making sure to restrict the IP address allowed to use that port.

📄 Terms of Use

Article 2 — Purpose and acceptance. These Terms of Use govern the use of the MBI TPE module ("the Module") for Dolibarr ERP/CRM as well as the associated services provided by MB Informatique SARL (support, updates, activation). Installing, activating or using the Module constitutes full and unreserved acceptance of these Terms of Use. They apply in addition to the terms of sale of the platform through which the Module was purchased (e.g. DoliStore), which govern the purchase itself.

Article 3 — Code licence. The source code of the Module is distributed under the GNU General Public License version 3 or later (GPL v3+), the full text of which is provided in the COPYING file delivered with the Module. These Terms of Use do not restrict the rights granted to the User by that licence; they govern the services provided by MB Informatique SARL and the conditions of use of the Module.

Article 4 — Requirements and compatibility. The Module is designed for the environments stated in its documentation (Dolibarr 20 to 23, PHP 8.0+). Its operation is not guaranteed outside those versions, in the event of any modification to the Dolibarr core, or in the presence of conflicting third-party modules. It is the User's responsibility to check the compatibility of their environment before installation.

Article 5 — User obligations. The User undertakes to: (a) perform a full backup (files and database) before any installation or update; (b) test the Module on a test environment before going live where possible; (c) use the Module in accordance with its documentation and with applicable regulations; (d) keep their Dolibarr instance in normal conditions of security and maintenance.

Article 6 — Support and updates. Support is provided by email at info@mb-informatique.fr, under the conditions and for the duration that may be specified at the time of purchase. The following are excluded from support: malfunctions caused by a modification of the Module or of the Dolibarr core by the User or a third party, by an environment that does not meet the requirements, or by a conflict with a third-party module. Some updates may require a more recent version of Dolibarr.

Article 7 — Warranties. The Module is provided "as is", in accordance with articles 15 and 16 of the GPL licence and within the limits permitted by law. MB Informatique SARL does not warrant that the Module is free from defects, that it will operate without interruption, or that it will meet any particular need of the User. Applicable mandatory statutory warranties are not affected by this article.

Article 8 — Liability. Within the limits permitted by law, MB Informatique SARL shall not be held liable for indirect damages (in particular loss of data, loss of business, loss of revenue, damage to reputation), nor for damages resulting from: use of the Module that does not comply with its documentation; the absence of a prior backup; a modification of the Module by the User or a third party; an event of force majeure. For professional Users, the total liability of MB Informatique SARL, on any grounds whatsoever, is limited to the amount actually paid for the Module during the last twelve (12) months. Nothing herein excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, in particular in the event of wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

Article 9 — Personal data. The Module operates within the User's own Dolibarr instance: the data it processes remains stored on the User's systems, and the User remains the data controller within the meaning of the GDPR. When checking the version or activating the Module, technical information (module name and version, licence key, IP address and domain of the instance) may be transmitted to the MB Informatique SARL server, solely for the purposes of licence and update management, and retained for the period necessary for those purposes. The User may exercise their rights (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection) by writing to info@mb-informatique.fr.

Article 10 — Intellectual property and trademarks. "Dolibarr" is a trademark belonging to its respective holders. The Module is an independent development by MB Informatique SARL, neither affiliated with nor endorsed by the Dolibarr association. The copyright notices contained in the Module's files must not be removed, in accordance with the GPL licence.

Article 11 — Term and changes. These Terms of Use apply from the first use of the Module and for the whole duration of its use. MB Informatique SARL may amend the Terms of Use for future versions of the Module; the applicable version is the one delivered with the version of the Module in use. Termination of the services does not affect the rights granted by the GPL licence.

Article 12 — Governing law and disputes. These Terms of Use are governed by French law. Failing an amicable settlement, any dispute with a professional User falls within the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the district in which MB Informatique SARL has its registered office. Consumer Users retain the benefit of the mandatory rules of jurisdiction and may make free use of the consumer mediation scheme, in accordance with articles L.611-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code; the identity and contact details of the mediator appointed by MB Informatique SARL are stated on https://www.mb-informatique.fr and provided on request at info@mb-informatique.fr.

Article 13 — Miscellaneous. If any provision hereof is declared void or unenforceable, the remaining provisions retain their full validity. These Terms of Use are drafted in French; in the event of any discrepancy between the French version and a translation, the French version prevails.
