Electronic invoicing, without changing how you invoice

LemonFacturX automatically generates Factur-X EN 16931 invoices directly from Dolibarr.

Keep creating and validating invoices exactly as you do today. When an invoice is validated, the module produces a PDF/A-3 file that your customers can read, with the structured XML data required for electronic invoicing embedded inside. Your invoice is ready for your approved platform.

Since 1 September 2026, all businesses must be able to receive electronic invoices. Large companies and mid-sized enterprises must already issue them; small businesses and SMEs will follow from 1 September 2027. LemonFacturX lets you prepare for this change directly in Dolibarr.

What LemonFacturX does

• Automatically generates a Factur-X file whenever a customer invoice is validated.

• Produces a PDF/A-3 with its embedded EN 16931 CrossIndustryInvoice XML.

• Works with Dolibarr’s native PDF templates — sponge, crabe, octopus… — as well as ODT templates through LibreOffice.

• Handles standard invoices, credit notes, corrective invoices, deposits and invoices that have already been paid.

• Supports common VAT scenarios: intra-community VAT, exports, VAT exemption for small businesses, domestic reverse charge and VAT exemptions, with the appropriate legal wording.

• Includes discounts, rounding, payment terms, delivery addresses and billing contacts.

• Adds two actions directly to each invoice: Verify Factur-X and Regenerate Factur-X.

• Checks data before generation: XSD schema, EN 16931 business rules and French BR-FR rules.

• Passes the official EN 16931 Schematron validation checks.

• Provides a REST API for monitoring, as well as batch export from the command line.

• Includes built-in documentation available from the module settings.

Public-sector invoices: Chorus Pro

LemonFacturX distinguishes between invoices issued to private-sector customers and those issued to public-sector bodies.

For private customers, it generates a standard Factur-X file ready to be sent through your approved platform. For Chorus Pro, it can generate a separate PDF with the required information: SIRET number, service code, commitment reference and invoicing framework. Dedicated tabs are available on both the invoice and the customer record.

Easy to install

In Dolibarr, go to Setup → Modules/Applications → Deploy an external module. Select the ZIP file, activate the module, then follow the built-in guide.

No additional dependency is required. Compatible with Dolibarr 19 to 23 and PHP 7.4 or later.
