StockNotifier — Email stock alerts for Dolibarr

Spot critical stock after each movement and plan your replenishment. StockNotifier 1.1.0 sends an email when a product’s monitored stock reaches or falls below its alert threshold in Dolibarr.

Your problem: finding a shortage too late

A stock issue can take an item below its minimum level. Without regular checks, you may discover the shortage while preparing a customer order. Opening every product record takes time, especially when inventory is spread across several warehouses.

The solution: an automatic alert when stock changes

StockNotifier checks stock during movements recorded in Dolibarr. When the monitored quantity is less than or equal to the product’s positive threshold, it sends an email stock alert. No scheduled task is required.

The HTML email includes the product reference, label, current stock, threshold and quantity needed to return to that threshold. Decimal quantities are preserved. This quantity is informational; the module does not create purchase orders.

Monitoring that fits your business

• Multiple warehouses: select which warehouses to include; leaving the selection empty uses total stock.
• Product alert threshold: compare the combined stock of monitored warehouses with the product threshold.
• Sales and purchasing filters: optionally exclude products that are not available for sale or purchase.
• Duplicate alert prevention: one alert per product until a monitored movement brings stock back above the threshold.
• Manual reset: allow another alert on the next qualifying movement.

Getting started

Install and enable StockNotifier with the Products and Stock modules. Check Dolibarr’s email delivery, enter the recipient, select the warehouses and set a threshold strictly greater than zero on the relevant products. A recorded movement triggers the check; enabling the module alone does not scan existing stock.

Validation and scope

Version 1.1.0 tested on Dolibarr 24.0.1 with PHP 8.2.34 and MariaDB 11.4.13. An administrator account is required for configuration, and delivery depends on Dolibarr’s email settings. These tests do not establish compatibility with every other version or third-party module.
