Dolix Logistique – Lot expiry date alerts (sell-by, eat-by, best before)

Stop shipping expired products. The module watches the dates of the lots in stock (sell-by and eat-by dates entered on Dolibarr lots) and warns you in time.

• Home page widget: lots whose date falls within the next 30 days (adjustable) or is already past, most urgent first;
• Full list (Products menu): filter by delay, by warehouse or past dates only, with the quantity in stock and links to the product, the lot and the warehouse;
• Daily email to the addresses of your choice (scheduled job); nothing is sent when there is no lot to report;
• Check when a shipment is validated: a lot past its sell-by date blocks the validation, a lot past its eat-by date shows a warning. Each setting can be changed (block, warn or do nothing). When blocked, nothing is saved and the stock is not touched.

For whom: grocery stores, food shops, caterers, wholesalers, pharmacies, and any business that manages dated products with Dolibarr lots.

What you need: the Products, Stocks and Lots/Serial numbers modules (enabled automatically) and the dates entered on lots, at reception or by stock correction. For the email: email sending set up in Dolibarr.

Limits: the check happens when shipments are validated, not in TakePOS nor on invoices. A lot without a date is never reported.

No table created, no core file modified, no outside connection. One permission "see the lots to watch"; setup is for administrators only. Tested from Dolibarr 19 to 24: automated tests and a full run in the browser. Interface in French, English and German. Written and tested by Dolix (dolix.fr).
