Warehouse Scanner Pro

Warehouse Scanner Pro turns a smartphone, tablet, USB barcode scanner, or manual input into a practical warehouse workstation for Dolibarr.

Designed for fast warehouse operations, the module allows operators to scan products, manage stock movements, work with lots and expiry dates, receive supplier orders, perform inventory counts, transfer stock between warehouses, and print barcode or QR product labels directly from Dolibarr.

Main features

Mobile barcode and QR scanning

Use the camera of a smartphone or tablet to scan:

• EAN-13

• EAN-8

• Code128

• QR codes

• Product references

The scanner also supports USB barcode scanners and manual code entry.

Camera scanning includes continuous scanning mode, optional automatic processing, sound and vibration feedback, and configurable scan stability.

Stock movements

Create warehouse stock movements directly from the scanner:

• Receive stock

• Ship / remove stock

• Transfer stock between warehouses

• Inventory adjustments

The result screen immediately displays the product, lot, expiry date, warehouse quantities and movement details.

Lot and expiry management

Warehouse Scanner Pro supports products managed by lot or serial number.

When an existing lot is scanned, the module can automatically retrieve:

• Lot / serial number

• Available quantity

• Expiry date

• Sell-by / use-by information

This reduces manual data entry and helps prevent mistakes during warehouse operations.

FEFO lot selection

Available lots can be proposed using FEFO – First Expired, First Out logic.

Operators can quickly identify the most appropriate lot based on expiry date while still retaining manual lot selection when required.

Saved inventories

Create inventory counting sessions that can be saved in the database and resumed later or from another device.

Stock differences are applied only after final confirmation.

This is useful for warehouse counts that cannot be completed in a single session.

Supplier order receiving

Warehouse Scanner Pro can assist with supplier purchase order operations, including:

• Supplier order lookup

• Product scanning

• Stock receipt

• Order status checks

This allows warehouse staff to receive incoming products directly from the scanner interface.

Barcode and QR product labels

Generate printable product labels directly from Dolibarr.

Labels can include:

• Product reference

• Product name

• Lot number

• Expiry date

• Code128 barcode

• QR code

The barcode format is optimized for reliable scanning with smartphone cameras.

BatchSafe Pro integration

When BatchSafe Pro is installed, Warehouse Scanner Pro can check the status of a lot before allowing sensitive stock operations.

For example:

• Released lots can be shipped or transferred.

• In quarantine or blocked lots can be prevented from leaving the warehouse.

• The blocking reason is displayed directly to the operator.

• LabQC FAIL / OOS information can be shown when available through the integrated workflow.

This provides an additional safety layer for regulated or quality-controlled warehouse operations.

Operator permissions

Warehouse Scanner Pro uses dedicated permissions so warehouse operators can be given access only to the operations they need.

Permissions can control actions such as:

• Scanning

• Receiving stock

• Removing stock

• Transfers

• Inventory counts

• Supplier order operations

• Labels

• Export

• Cancel / Undo

Administrators therefore do not need to give warehouse staff unrestricted Dolibarr access.

Undo protection

Authorized users can undo the most recent supported warehouse movement.

Undo operations remain traceable and create their own inventory reference for audit purposes.
