🎯 Module Overview

MBI Recurring Invoices automates the billing of your recurring invoice templates: the module generates, validates and emails your invoices for you, every day. It builds on Dolibarr's recurring invoice templates: you designate which templates to bill automatically and the recipient, and the module takes care of the rest, with real-time tracking and a complete history.

🧭 Benefits

  • Time savings: recurring billing runs automatically every day, with no manual intervention.
  • Reliability: never forget to bill a customer again, and safeguards prevent both duplicates and "phantom" sends.
  • Visibility and control: follow each run live and access the complete history.
  • Flexibility: choose, template by template, validation, PDF generation and the destination address.
  • Peace of mind: any errors are reported clearly, never hidden behind a false success.

⚙️ Features

  • Automatic generation of invoices from recurring invoice templates flagged for "Automatic billing", via a daily scheduled job.
  • Automatic validation of the generated invoice when the template requires it.
  • Automatic generation of the invoice PDF according to the template's configuration.
  • Automatic emailing of the invoice to the customer, with the PDF attached.
  • Three fields added to recurring invoice templates: enable automatic billing, choose the email template to use, set a dedicated destination address.
  • Recipient selection: the thirdparty email by default, an option to prefer the billing contact, and one or several dedicated addresses on the template, the first as recipient, the following ones in copy (CC) or blind copy (BCC).
  • Manual step-by-step launch from a dedicated list, with live progress tracking for each line (Creation → Validation → PDF → Sending).
  • Global progress bar and visual cues: processed lines stay green, lines in error turn red with the failing step.
  • Resume an interrupted run (closed browser) exactly where it stopped, without ever re-billing an already generated invoice.
  • Stop on the first error to make it immediately visible and allow resuming after correction.
  • Complete history of every step (manual and automatic), available from a dedicated menu and filterable (batch, reference, thirdparty, step, status, source).
  • Interface integrated into Dolibarr, responsive display, and module available in several languages (English, French, Spanish, Italian, German).

✅ Compatibility

  • Dolibarr: 19 to 23
  • Module designed to integrate with the standard Dolibarr interface, under the Billing menu.
  • PHP 8.0 or higher (depending on the Dolibarr version used)

  1. Copy the module folder into: /htdocs/custom/
  2. Go to Home > Setup > Modules/Applications
  3. Enable MBI Recurring Invoices
  4. Configure the module options if needed from its administration page

Article 11 — Term and changes. These Terms apply from the first use of the Module and for the entire duration of its use. MB Informatique SARL may amend the Terms for future versions of the Module; the applicable version is the one delivered with the version of the Module used. The cessation of services does not affect the rights granted by the GPL license.

Article 12 — Governing law and disputes. These Terms are governed by French law. Failing an amicable resolution, any dispute with a professional User falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts having jurisdiction over the registered office of MB Informatique SARL. Consumer Users retain the benefit of the mandatory rules of jurisdiction and may make free use of the consumer mediation scheme, in accordance with articles L.611-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code (Code de la consommation); the identity and contact details of the mediator appointed by MB Informatique SARL are indicated at https://www.mb-informatique.fr and provided on request at info@mb-informatique.fr.
