MBI Commerce turns your Dolibarr into a public online shop: your customers order and pay on a modern storefront, while orders, payments and invoices land directly in your ERP. The module relies on the products, prices and customers already present in Dolibarr: there is no second database and no synchronisation to monitor. It is aimed at companies that want to sell online without leaving the management tool they use every day.

Your clients can log in to fill their cart and request a quote. To do this, you need to create an external user from a contact.
The products displayed in the catalog will be those for which the corresponding extra attribute is checked.

🧩 Prerequisites and dependencies

• Mandatory: a working Dolibarr instance with the Products, Third parties and Customer orders modules enabled, together with public access to the shop URL. The module declares no blocking dependency, so Dolibarr enforces nothing at activation.
• Optional: Stocks module for available quantities and back-in-stock alerts; Shipments module for delivery tracking; Invoices and Bank modules for automatic invoicing and payment recording; Tickets module for after-sales service and return requests; Scheduled jobs module for stock alerts and abandoned-cart reminders; Variants module for product declinations; an online payment solution configured in Dolibarr for card payment.
• Optional: anti-bot protection of the registration form through Cloudflare Turnstile or Google reCAPTCHA, enabled only if you fill in the keys of the chosen service.

🔧 Installation

1. Download the module ZIP archive without extracting it.
2. In Dolibarr, go to Home > Setup > Modules/Applications.
3. Open the Deploy/Install external module tab.
4. Upload the module ZIP archive.
5. Search for and enable MBI Commerce.
6. Configure the module options if required from its administration page.
7. Grant the required permissions to the users concerned.

For a manual installation, copy the module folder under the name mbicatalog into the /htdocs/custom/ directory of your Dolibarr installation, then enable the module as described above.

🚀 First steps

1. Open the module configuration page and review the general options: permission to order, permission to pay online, display of prices including tax, number of products per page.
2. Publish products in the shop: on each product record, tick the catalogue display attribute added by the module, then file the products into categories.
3. Fill in the carriers and their rate brackets, as well as the product used for the shipping cost line.
4. Complete the legal pages (terms and conditions of sale, legal notice, privacy policy) and enable the cookie consent banner.
5. Customise the shop colours and, if you wish, compose the home page showcase.
6. Grant permissions to the users in charge of configuration, commercial management or review moderation.
7. Enable the Dolibarr scheduled jobs for back-in-stock alerts and abandoned-cart reminders.
8. Open the shop in a browser, create a test account and place a complete order to validate the chain end to end.

🔄 Update and uninstallation

• Back up the database and the Dolibarr files before any update.
• Read the ChangeLog and install the new archive over the existing version.
• Disabling the module removes its menus, permissions, tabs and scheduled jobs, and deletes the recorded activation information; the shop tables, the added product attributes, the e-mail templates and the settings are kept.
• The data created by the module (carts, favourites, reviews, promotional codes, carriers, product options, showcase slides, stock alerts) is kept: neither disabling the module nor deleting its files erases it. Permanent removal requires a deliberate operation in the database.
• A database created with a version earlier than 2.4 must be reinstalled: the llx_mbi_catalog_* tables are dropped, then the module is re-enabled to recreate them.

📄 Terms of Use

Article 1 — Publisher. The MBI Commerce module is published by MB Informatique, a limited liability company registered with the Mulhouse Trade and Companies Register under number 834 342 362 (SIRET 834 342 362 00029, EU VAT number FR07834342362), whose registered office is located at 120 rue de l'Île Napoléon, 68170 Rixheim, France. Telephone: 03 67 262 242 — Email: info@mb-informatique.fr — Website: https://www.mb-informatique.fr.

Article 2 — Purpose and acceptance. These Terms of Use (ToU) govern the use of the MBI Commerce module ("the Module") for Dolibarr ERP/CRM as well as the associated services provided by MB Informatique SARL (support, updates, activation). Installing, activating or using the Module constitutes full and unreserved acceptance of these ToU. They apply in addition to the terms of sale of the platform through which the Module was purchased (e.g. DoliStore), which govern the purchase itself.

Article 3 — Code licence. The source code of the Module is distributed under the GNU General Public License version 3 or later (GPL v3+), the full text of which appears in the COPYING file delivered with the Module. These ToU do not restrict the rights granted to the User by that licence; they govern the services provided by MB Informatique SARL and the conditions of use of the Module.

Article 4 — Prerequisites and compatibility. The Module is designed for the environments stated in its documentation (Dolibarr 19.0 minimum, no maximum version declared, compatibility audited and tested up to Dolibarr 23.0, PHP 8.0 minimum). Its operation is not guaranteed outside those versions, in the event of a modification of the Dolibarr core, or in the presence of conflicting third-party modules. It is the User's responsibility to check the compatibility of their environment before installation.

Article 5 — User obligations. The User undertakes to: (a) perform a full backup (files and database) before any installation or update; (b) test the Module on a test environment before going into production whenever possible; (c) use the Module in accordance with its documentation and with applicable regulations; (d) keep their Dolibarr instance under normal security and update conditions.

Article 6 — Support and updates. Support is provided by email at info@mb-informatique.fr, under the conditions and for the duration that may have been specified at the time of purchase. The following are excluded from support: malfunctions caused by a modification of the Module or of the Dolibarr core by the User or a third party, by an environment that does not meet the prerequisites, or by a conflict with a third-party module. Some updates may require a more recent version of Dolibarr.

Article 7 — Warranties. The Module is provided "as is", in accordance with articles 15 and 16 of the GPL licence and within the limits allowed by law. MB Informatique SARL does not warrant that the Module is free of defects, that it operates without interruption, or that it meets any particular need of the User. Applicable mandatory statutory warranties are not affected by this article.

Article 8 — Liability. Within the limits permitted by law, MB Informatique SARL shall not be held liable for indirect damages (in particular loss of data, loss of business, loss of turnover, damage to reputation), nor for damages resulting from: use of the Module that does not comply with its documentation; the absence of a prior backup; a modification of the Module by the User or a third party; an event of force majeure. For professional Users, the total liability of MB Informatique SARL, on all grounds combined, is limited to the amount actually paid for the Module over the last twelve (12) months. Nothing in these ToU excludes liability that cannot be lawfully excluded, in particular in the event of wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

Article 9 — Personal data. The Module operates within the User's Dolibarr instance: the functional data it processes remains stored on the User's systems, and the User remains the data controller within the meaning of the GDPR. During the version check or the activation of the Module, technical information including the name and version of the Module, the licence key, the IP address and the domain of the instance may be sent to the MB Informatique SARL server, for the sole purposes of licence management, activation and updates, and kept for as long as necessary for those purposes. No business data contained in the Dolibarr instance is transmitted in that context. The User may exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection by writing to info@mb-informatique.fr.

Article 10 — Intellectual property and trademarks. "Dolibarr" is a trademark belonging to its respective holders. The Module is an independent development by MB Informatique SARL, neither affiliated with nor endorsed by the Dolibarr association. The copyright notices appearing in the Module files must not be removed, in accordance with the GPL licence.

Article 11 — Term and changes. These ToU apply from the first use of the Module and for the entire duration of its use. MB Informatique SARL may amend the ToU for future versions of the Module; the applicable version is the one delivered with the version of the Module in use. Termination of the services does not affect the rights granted by the GPL licence.

Article 12 — Governing law and disputes. These ToU are governed by French law. In the event of a difficulty, the User is invited to send a written complaint to MB Informatique SARL beforehand in order to seek an amicable solution. Failing an amicable resolution, any dispute with a professional User falls within the exclusive jurisdiction of the Mulhouse Commercial Court, including in summary proceedings, warranty claims, incidental claims or where there are several defendants. Consumer Users retain the benefit of the mandatory rules of jurisdiction and may use the consumer mediation scheme free of charge under the conditions laid down by articles L.612-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code. Up-to-date information on the consumer mediation applicable to MB Informatique SARL's services is set out in its General Terms and Conditions of Sale, available at https://www.mb-informatique.fr/cgv.html.

Article 13 — Miscellaneous. If any provision of these ToU is declared void or unenforceable, the remaining provisions retain their full validity. The ToU are drafted in French; in the event of a discrepancy between the French version and a translation, the French version prevails.

MBI Commerce is a custom Dolibarr module developed by MB Informatique.

Intended for companies that already run their business in Dolibarr, it opens an online sales channel for them without duplicating data or multiplying tools: the shop and the management system share the same foundation.

UPDATE 2.6.1 (2026-08-20)

• Fixed: the Showcase tab of the administration stopped halfway through, with no message. The slide form was never displayed, so no slide could be added or edited: a percent sign at the end of a translated label made the page fail while it was being built. The tab has been unusable since the feature was released, in every language and on every Dolibarr version supported.
• New: the top menu entry of the module now shows a storefront icon instead of the generic one.
• Fixed: every administration page of the module asked the browser for an image that does not exist, one failed request per display.
• Fixed: the customer area lists the hundred most recent quotes, orders and invoices and says so, instead of loading the whole history of a long-standing customer on one page.
• Fixed: the About tab was titled "Settings".
• Fixed: the database check of the settings page no longer stays silent when a table cannot be read.

UPDATE 2.6.0 (2026-08-20)

• ⚠️ Action required: disable then re-enable the module after updating, so the catalog fields of the product sheet take the language of each user and the tables are brought up to date.
• Security: a product name or description containing code can no longer be executed in the visitors' browser from the product sheet. The formatting entered in the editor is kept, only what is executable is removed.
• Security: the session token of the administrator is no longer sent to the activation server, where it was of no use.
• Security: the answer of the activation server is escaped before being displayed, and an unexpected answer now shows a message instead of leaving an empty settings tab.
• Security: enabling or disabling a carrier, a product option or a promotional code now requires a valid token, so those settings can no longer be flipped from a trapped link.
• Security: bringing the database up to date is reserved to administrators, like every other operation altering the tables.
• Fixed: the one-click database upgrade offered in the settings did nothing when clicked. The button now performs the upgrade it announces.
• Fixed: on a PostgreSQL installation the tables were left on their old schema without a word. The upgrade, the catalog filters, the back-in-stock subscriptions and the customer reviews now work on that engine too.
• Fixed: the three fields the module adds to the product sheet were labelled in French for every user. They are now shown in the language of whoever is looking at them.
• Fixed: the settings page could freeze for up to a minute when the activation server was unreachable; it now waits three seconds at most.
• Improved: the XML sitemap and the Google Merchant feed are kept in cache, so a crawl stays inexpensive on a large catalogue. The delay is set in the SEO tab, and the sitemap is split into pages beyond 50,000 addresses.

UPDATE 2.5 (2026-08-19)

• ⚠️ Action required: disable then re-enable the module after updating to apply the changes introduced by this version.
• Update: the module tables are now brought up to date automatically when the module is enabled — missing columns are added and the indexes are realigned — so updating from any earlier release no longer leaves the shop tables in their old shape. Eight tables were concerned. On a multi-company installation this also restores the isolation between companies: the unique keys of the favourites, promotional codes and stock alerts gained the company column, and until now an old installation kept the previous key, so a subscription or a favourite recorded in one company could overwrite the one of another.
• New: the settings page detects a database that is not up to date with the installed version and offers to upgrade it in one click, for the case where the files were replaced without disabling and re-enabling the module.
• Security: a product name containing code can no longer be executed in the visitors' browser from the search suggestions.
• Security: the cart rejects negative or out-of-range quantities, so the amount of an order can no longer be manipulated from the browser.
• Security: the shop no longer discloses the names of the ERP categories (customers, suppliers, projects) to a visitor.
• Security: the development files present at the root of the module — development notes, internal test checklist, DoliStore listing texts — are no longer shipped; anyone could read them from the public shop.
• Fixed: services can be added to the cart and ordered again, and are no longer reported as unavailable to Google.
