# SkontoTextBuilder for Dolibarr

**Automated early payment discount calculations and payment terms for professional invoicing.**

SkontoTextBuilder extends Dolibarr with automated early payment discount calculations and dynamically generated payment terms. Define your discount conditions once and let the module generate the corresponding payment text for your invoices.

The module integrates with Dolibarr's existing customer records, invoice fields and payment terms without requiring modifications to the Dolibarr core.

### Key features

- **Automatic discount calculation:** Calculate discount amounts, discounted payment totals and discount deadlines based on the invoice date, amount, percentage and number of days.
- **Customer-specific conditions:** Store default discount percentages and payment periods for individual customers.
- **Invoice-specific overrides:** Adjust the discount percentage and discount period directly when creating an invoice.
- **Dynamic payment text:** Use placeholders to automatically generate payment terms with the correct dates and amounts.
- **Immutable payment terms after validation:** The resolved payment text is frozen when the invoice is validated, preventing subsequent customer or payment-term changes from altering the validated invoice.
- **PDF and Factur-X consistency:** Keep the payment terms in the generated PDF and embedded Factur-X XML consistent.
- **Multilingual interface:** Available in German, English, Spanish, French and Italian.
- **Simple configuration:** Includes an integrated help page, example payment text and a copy function.
- **No core modifications:** Implemented as an independent Dolibarr module.

### Example

**Invoice total:** €1,000.00
**Early payment discount:** 2% within 10 days

Payment by the specified discount deadline qualifies for a 2% discount.

**Discount amount:** €20.00
**Amount due after discount:** €980.00

After the discount period, the regular payment terms apply.

Factur-X compatibility has been tested with the existing invoice PDF generation setup. Compatibility with every third-party PDF template is not guaranteed.
