DoliOdoo Bridge – Two-way Dolibarr ⇄ Odoo synchronisation

DoliOdoo Bridge connects your Dolibarr ERP/CRM to one or more Odoo instances and keeps your data consistent in both directions: customers, suppliers, contacts, products, variants, stock, quotations, sales orders, invoices, payments, purchasing, shipments, projects and CRM.

For each object type, you decide the sync direction, the master system, the deletion policy and the frequency. Every change is queued, logged and retried on error, and a conflict is never silently overwritten. The module installs like any other external Dolibarr module and does not modify a single core file of Dolibarr or Odoo.

Synchronised objects

Dedicated mapping screens link the reference data of both systems: companies, taxes, units, warehouses, statuses, payment modes and terms, bank journals, currencies, carriers, incoterms, CRM stages and salespersons, with automatic mapping suggestions.

A professional-grade sync engine

• Real time: every Dolibarr change is captured by triggers and queued, without slowing users down.
• On the Odoo side: change detection based on the last modification date (delta), plus optional token-secured Odoo webhooks.
• Priority queue: payments and invoices first, then orders and stock, then third parties and products, then documents.
• Automatic retries at increasing intervals (1, 5, 15, 60 and 240 minutes, configurable), then a dead letter queue where jobs can be retried, cancelled or ignored in one click.
• Dependency resolution: before an invoice is imported, its customer and products are synchronised first.
• Duplicate detection: strong keys (VAT number, SIREN/SIRET, barcode) and weak keys (reference, email) confirmed by a second criterion, so unrelated records are never linked.
• Dry run: before a bulk sync, see how many objects are analysed, to be created, to be updated, unchanged, in conflict or in error, without changing anything.
• Full nightly reconciliation: broken mappings, missing objects, and mismatched prices, stock levels or statuses.
• Controlled deletions: by default, no deletion is propagated. Options: ignore, deactivate, archive or propagate with confirmation. Financial documents are never deleted remotely.

Financial integrity

An invoice is never created twice. Before validating an invoice in Odoo, DoliOdoo Bridge compares the net amount, VAT, gross total, currency and amount due. If there is any discrepancy, the invoice stays in draft, a conflict is raised and the administrator is notified by email. A validated invoice is never silently modified, and a payment is never recorded twice.

Dashboard and tools

• Odoo Sync control center: KPIs (connected instances, synchronised third parties, products, orders, invoices, payments and projects, pending jobs, errors, conflicts, success rate, average duration) and charts (syncs per day, objects by type, errors, API performance, synchronised revenue).
• Odoo connection with live testing: version, edition, companies, languages, currencies, warehouses, installed modules and the availability of each feature (AVAILABLE / NOT AVAILABLE, with the reason).
• First sync wizard in 17 steps, from connection to go-live, including duplicate detection and a dry run.

Multi-company and multi-connection

Connect several Odoo instances, for example Odoo France and Odoo Morocco. Each connection has its own credentials, company, warehouses, mappings, rules, queue and journal. With Dolibarr MultiCompany, each entity is linked to its own Odoo company. Odoo's multi-company rules are respected: data is never mixed.

Security

• API keys and passwords encrypted with AES-256, never displayed and never written to logs.
• HTTPS enforced for remote Odoo servers, with certificate verification.
• CSRF protection, permission checks on every page and every action, and output escaping.
• 16 dedicated permissions: read access, connections, sync by area, logs, conflicts, mappings, queue, bank.
• Odoo user passwords, API keys and access rights are never synchronised.

Performance

Built for high volumes: pagination, batch processing, delta sync, SQL indexes, caching and rate limiting. Measured on our test environment: about 1 ms per lookup with 20,000 mappings, about 2,300 jobs per second processed by the queue (excluding Odoo calls), and about 3 ms to check a 1,000-line document.

Compatibility

Features reserved for Odoo Enterprise (subscriptions, field service) are detected automatically and shown as “NOT AVAILABLE” when the app is not installed. No Enterprise app is required.

Requirements

• Dolibarr with the Third Parties module and the modules for the objects you want to sync, plus the Scheduled jobs (CRON) module.
• PHP 7.4 or later with the curl, json, openssl, mbstring and simplexml extensions.
• An Odoo instance reachable through its external API and a user with the required access rights (API key recommended).
• Optional: the Dolibarr REST API module to receive Odoo webhooks.

Up and running in minutes

1. In Dolibarr: Home → Setup → Modules/Applications → Deploy/install external app/module, then upload the doliodoobridge-1.0.zip file.
2. Enable DoliOdoo Bridge in the “Interfaces with external systems” family.
3. Grant the permissions to the relevant users.
4. Menu Odoo Bridge → Odoo connections → New connection: URL, database, user, API key, then TEST CONNECTION.
5. Run the First sync wizard: mappings, dry run, review, go-live.

Frequently asked questions

Does the module modify Dolibarr or Odoo?
No. It relies solely on Dolibarr's extension mechanisms and Odoo's external API. Nothing needs to be installed in Odoo.

Can I sync only some objects?
Yes. Nothing is synchronised until you choose a direction for the object concerned.

What happens if Odoo is unavailable?
Events remain in the queue. The circuit breaker suspends calls and then resumes them gradually: no operation is lost.

What if the same record is edited on both sides?
The configured source of truth applies. In manual mode, a conflict is raised and you choose which value to keep.

Could my invoices be duplicated?
No. Each object is uniquely identified, and amounts are checked before any validation.

Can I test safely?
Yes. Dry run mode analyses your data without changing anything, and synchronisation can be paused at any time.

Does the module work with Odoo Online?
Only if your Odoo subscription includes external API access. The connection test tells you clearly.

Are my custom fields supported?
Yes. Dolibarr ExtraFields map to Odoo custom fields (text, integer, decimal, boolean, date, datetime, selection, relation).
